Remapping, also called ECU tuning, chipping or chip tuning, is a process when settings/maps of the truck’s ECU (engine control unit)are altered.
Remapping means changing the manufacturer’s default maps/software on the truck’s ECU and replacing it with new maps/software to required specification. In other words the existing/old ECU maps/software are overwritten with a new, customised ones.
Remaps can be uninstalled/reversed easily should this be required. The software is fully reversible and should not cause any problems. Restoring the ECU back to original/default manufacturer’s setting is quite easy and quick
